The Centre for
the Study of Civic Renewal (CSCR) is a non-profit organization dedicated
to promoting research and informed public debate on what constitutes,
and how to create, a good society, and on the rights and responsibilities
of citizenship.
The Centre is
particularly interested in examining how to strengthen and improve
institutions, both public and private, including:
·
the family
· voluntary and religious community groups
· neighbourhoods
· schools and other educational facilities
· the welfare system
· the justice and health care systems, and
· the various branches of government, at all levels
to which citizens
may turn in times of trouble, and that mediate between the individual
and the state.
